Crtl/Alt Delete doesn't delete words
Closed { reason: Other } fintohaps opened 1 year ago

I often use ctrl/alt delete/backspace to delete entire words in applications, but it seems that this only deletes a single character at a time in radicle-desktop

On macOS this works for me when I hold down the option key and then delete with backspace. Did you try all the meta keys?

I lied, it works for ctrl :’) Do we know if there are conventions here? Because in my terminal it’s alt for deleting words, but ctrl for jumping through words. Anyway, feel free to close if it’s not relevant.

Hm, I feel like it’s a per-OS thing. Could it be that your terminal emulator or shell have a custom config? You could check how other programs handle it on your machine, e.g. browser url bar, text notepad app, etc. and see if all of those align.
